Grabo Plus VS Grabo Pro: Let’s Compare

Grabo Plus VS Grabo Pro: Let’s Compare

Who Are Grabo?

Grabo has quickly become one of the best-known names across the cladding (and wider construction) industry. They pioneered the handheld vacuum lifter delivering a safe and effective manual handling solution.

The Grabo Vacuum Lifter Range

Grabo has two main products in its range; the Grabo Pro and the Grabo Plus. But how do they stack up against each other? And which should you be using?

As the world’s first portable vacuum lifter, the Grabo revolutionised manual lifting and worksite safety. However, Grabo has continued to innovate, introducing the Grabo Pro. Does the Plus hold up, or does the newer model outclass it?

In this guide, we’ll look at these excellent handheld vacuum lifters and compare their specs, features and pricing to help you decide which is best for you.

Grabo Plus

The Grabo transformed manual handling. It is a powerful handheld vacuum lifter helping make light work of heavy lifting. Plus, it is improving safety standards by offering a reliable alternative to potentially dangerous manual suction cups.

With a carrying capacity of up to 170 kg (capacity varies depending on material and direction of hold), it is perfect for panels, doors, countertops, and much more. It works with wood, metals, ceramic tiles, and glass too.

You can achieve this incredible carry capacity with the Grabo Plus, but another option is the Grabo Pro.

How Is The Grabo Pro Different?

If you’re looking to build on the Grabo plus with a few more features, the Grabo Pro has you covered. The Pro offers the same powerful lifting and works with the same extensive range of materials as the Plus. But the Pro switches to digital, adding a smart digital pressure sensor and automatic pressure maintenance.

Here’s how the Grabo Pro improves on the Plus:

New Ergonomic Handle Design

One of the Pro’s smaller, yet much appreciated, upgrades is its sleeker handle design. The Pro’s handle is slimmer and more ergonomic than the Plus’. It is a minor change compared to the other additions we will look at next, but it illustrates Grabo’s attention to detail and commitment to continual improvement. It is certainly a welcome improvement.

Lightweight

The Grabo Plus is lightweight, weighing only 1.6 kg with the battery. The Grabo Pro, however, improves on this, weighing just 1.5 kg. The lighter weight adds to its ergonomic design and ease of use.

Digital Display and Vacuum Gauge

With the Pro, Grabo also made the switch from analogue to digital. The Pro introduces a digital display allowing you to track weight and pressure easily. With the Plus, the gauge displays the vacuum level. The Pro will enable you to monitor weight and pressure and lets you switch between bars and Psi, and kgs and lbs.

Auto Vacuum Pump and Pressure Maintaining Function

Whilst the Grabo Plus requires manual pressure management and monitoring of its analogue gauge, the Pro uses automatic on/off functionality. The digital smart sensor enables the pro to maintain the optimum suction level, toggling on and off automatically to compensate for vacuum loss. This is particularly useful when lifting coarse material.

Grabo Vacuum Lifter Pricing

The Grabo Plus is a fantastic and affordable option. A Grabo Plus is only £210, and you can make further savings with A Grabo Plus twin pack which is only £400. This is a fraction of what you can save in labour costs from its productivity increases. It is Grabo’s best-selling model too, so you’ll be in good company if you take this option.

As expected, the Grabo Pro is more expensive than the Plus. However, given all the incredible improvements made with the Pro, the price difference may be smaller than expected. You can buy a Grabo Pro for £285 or save £25 with a Grabo Pro twin pack for just £545. The higher price is justified by the amazing extras and improvements that come with the Pro.
